Hyperkalemia

EKG strips showing "tall T waves" which are often  characteristic of hyperkalemia.
1.

Hyperkalemia 6.2 mEq/L

2.

Hyperkalemia 6.8 mEq/L

3.

Hyperkalemia 7.6 mEq/L

4.

Normal Potassium 3.8 mEq/L

 This is lead V3.  This patient also had left ventricular hypertrophy.   Compare this to the previous EKG strip shown above which also is taken from a V3 lead.
